Salon Policies & Terms of Service
Ali Kapar Hair Design
East Keilor, Victoria
Last updated: July 2026
At Ali Kapar Hair Design, every appointment is carefully scheduled to provide a professional, personalised and seamless salon experience. These policies help us maintain the quality of our services, protect appointment availability and ensure every client receives the time and attention they deserve.
By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, submitting an online enquiry or using our website, you agree to the following terms.
1. Appointment Requests and Confirmations
Submitting an appointment form through our website is a booking request only and does not guarantee that the requested date, time or service is available.
An appointment is confirmed only once Ali Kapar Hair Design has contacted you and provided confirmation by phone, text message or email.
Please ensure that all contact information submitted is accurate so our team can respond to your request.
2. Consultations
Every service begins with a considered consultation to understand your hair, desired result, maintenance preferences and relevant service history.
For colour transformations, corrective colour, major restyles and other extended services, a separate consultation may be required before an appointment can be confirmed.
Photographs submitted online may assist with the initial consultation; however, final recommendations, appointment duration and pricing can only be confirmed after the hair has been properly assessed.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances can change. Clients are asked to provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
Late cancellations affect the salon and prevent another client from using the reserved appointment time. Clients who repeatedly cancel at short notice may have future booking requests declined or require direct confirmation from the salon before another appointment is scheduled.
Where possible, we will work with clients to arrange another suitable appointment time.
4. Missed Appointments
A missed appointment significantly affects the salon and prevents another client from using the reserved time.
Clients who do not attend a confirmed appointment without providing notice may have future appointment requests declined. Repeated non-attendance may result in Ali Kapar Hair Design no longer accepting bookings from the client.
5. Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time so your complete service can be delivered without affecting other clients.
Where a client arrives late, we may need to:
Modify or shorten the requested service;
Complete only part of the scheduled service;
Reschedule the appointment; or
Decline to proceed where there is insufficient time to deliver the service safely and professionally.
We will always try to accommodate late arrivals where possible; however, we cannot inconvenience clients whose appointments follow.
6. Service Pricing
Prices displayed online, provided over the phone or discussed before an appointment should be treated as a guide unless a final quote has been provided.
The final price may vary depending on:
Hair length, thickness and condition;
Existing colour and previous chemical services;
The complexity of the desired result;
The amount of time and product required;
Additional services requested during the appointment; and
Any restorative or preparatory treatments that may be recommended.
Any significant variation will be discussed before additional work is performed. Clients are encouraged to request an estimate during their consultation.
7. Colour and Chemical Services
Clients must provide an accurate and complete history of previous colour, bleach, keratin treatments, chemical straightening, henna, home colour and other chemical services.
Previous treatments and the current condition of the hair may affect what can be achieved safely. A strand test, skin sensitivity test or staged treatment plan may be recommended before proceeding.
Colour correction and significant transformations cannot always be completed in one appointment. Some results may require multiple sessions to protect the condition and integrity of the hair.
Our professional recommendations will always prioritise the health, strength and long-term condition of the hair.
8. Allergies, Sensitivities and Relevant Information
Clients must inform the salon before their service of any known allergies, sensitivities, scalp conditions, previous reactions, medications or other circumstances that may affect the service.
Where appropriate, the salon may recommend or require a skin sensitivity or strand test. A service may be modified, postponed or declined where proceeding could present an unreasonable risk.
Ali Kapar Hair Design follows applicable Victorian infection-prevention guidance for hairdressing and barbering services.
9. Adjustments and Client Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is important to us. Any concerns should be raised during the appointment wherever possible so they can be addressed immediately.
Where you have concerns after leaving the salon, please contact us within seven days of the original service. We may ask you to return to the salon so the hair and original service can be properly assessed.
Any complimentary adjustment must relate directly to the service and result originally agreed upon during the consultation. Requests for a different cut, colour, style or result after the appointment may be treated as a new service and priced accordingly.
Nothing in this policy limits the rights or remedies available to consumers under the Australian Consumer Law. Hairdressing and other personal services must be delivered with due care and skill and be reasonably fit for the agreed purpose.
10. Refunds
Refunds are not automatically provided because a client changes their mind about a completed service or later decides they would prefer a result different from the one agreed upon during the consultation.
Where a service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, Ali Kapar Hair Design will assess the circumstances and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the nature of the issue, the appropriate remedy may include assessing, correcting or repeating the service, providing a refund, or offering another reasonable resolution.
11. Retail Products
Please choose retail products carefully and ask our team for professional advice before purchasing.
We do not ordinarily accept change-of-mind returns on opened or used hair products. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products will be assessed and handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
Proof of purchase may be requested when assessing a return, exchange or product concern. Businesses are generally not required to provide a refund simply because a customer changes their mind, while consumer guarantees continue to apply to faulty products.
12. Children and Additional Guests
Children are welcome when they are receiving a service or can be safely supervised by a responsible adult.
For the comfort and safety of clients and staff, we ask that unnecessary additional guests do not attend appointments.
The salon contains hot tools, sharp equipment and professional chemical products. Children must remain supervised and must not interfere with salon equipment or services.
13. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while visiting the salon.
Please take particular care with jewellery, clothing, mobile phones and other valuable or delicate items.
Protective capes and towels are provided; however, we recommend avoiding valuable, delicate or light-coloured clothing during colour and chemical appointments.
14. Photography and Social Media
We may occasionally ask for permission to photograph or film completed work for our website, professional portfolio or social media platforms.
Images or footage will only be captured and published with the client’s consent. Declining consent will not affect the service provided.
Clients may contact the salon to request the removal of an identifiable image previously published. We will consider and action reasonable requests where the content remains under our control.
15. Privacy and Personal Information
We may collect information such as your:
Name and contact details;
Appointment and service history;
Hair history and service preferences;
Relevant allergy or sensitivity information;
Images submitted for consultations; and
Communications with the salon.
This information may be used to:
Respond to enquiries;

Safely provide salon services;

We do not sell client information. Access to personal information is limited to those who reasonably require it to operate the salon and provide services.
Many Australian small businesses with annual turnover of $3 million or less are not covered by the Privacy Act, although exceptions apply. Regardless of whether the Act applies, Ali Kapar Hair Design aims to handle client information responsibly, securely and transparently.
16. Respectful Conduct
Ali Kapar Hair Design is committed to maintaining a professional, inclusive and respectful environment.
Aggressive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate conduct toward staff, clients or visitors will not be accepted.
The salon reserves the right to stop a service, ask an individual to leave, or decline future appointments where behaviour creates an unsafe, disruptive or unreasonable environment.
17. Website Information
We aim to keep all service descriptions, pricing information, availability and website content accurate and current. However, information may be amended without notice.
Images displayed on the website and social media platforms are examples of previous work. Individual results will vary depending on hair type, condition, service history and the result agreed upon during the consultation.
All website content, branding, photographs and written material belonging to Ali Kapar Hair Design may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without prior permission.
18. Changes to These Policies
Ali Kapar Hair Design may update these policies to reflect changes to our services, salon practices or legal obligations.
The most recent version will be displayed on our website and will apply from its published effective date.
